The Arroyo Arts Collective Re-Discovery Tour is bigger and better than ever this year, with over 130 artists, 32 of them new to the Tour. This is a great opportunity to visit the studios and homes of artists in Mt. Washington, Eagle Rock and Highland Park.

Our Local Farmers' Market

The shopping is great at the Farmers' Market in Highland Park. There are fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, lots of treats such as flavored nuts and "gourmet tamales", and live festive music. You can do your shopping there, support the community, chat with your neighbors and have fun all at the same time! The market takes place Tuesdays 3-8pm at the corner of Avenue 57 and Marmion Way.

Mount Washington Homes: Early 1900's

Do you recognize these houses? This postcard shows how Mount Washington looked in the early 1900's. The street heading out toward the ocean is San Rafael Avenue, and the cross street Elyria Drive. The picture was taken from the hill above the southeast corner of San Rafael Avenue and Rome Drive. The small print in the sky says: "View of the Pacific Ocean from Mt. Washington, Los Angeles, California"
