These folding glass screens for the table top were inspired by Japanese screens or "byobu".  These are designed to be appreciated in all kinds of lighting.  Daylight and lamp light from different angles will emphasize different aspects of the glass designs.   The byobu are decorative and functional in that they can provide a backdrop for objects or hide them.
